Hampton Inn

When Heller Co. wanted to shorten the schedule, reduce costs, tighten coordination between trades, and maintain high standards of quality for its new Hampton Inn in downtown San Diego, it turned to University for full design-build services.

We're leading the team that is providing not only HVAC and plumbing services, but electrical, fire protection, and site utilities services as well.

"This single-source responsibility enables us to help Heller achieve its goals, including the desired balance between long-term operating and maintenance costs and upfront construction costs," says University Design Manager Steve Thompson.

Design of all of the building systems is well under way, and ground will be broken in January 2000. When completed nine months later, the five-story Hampton Inn will feature 178 guestrooms and two levels of underground parking.
