Santaluz Golf Clubhouse
San Diego, CA
The gently rolling hills of San Diego's gorgeous San Dieguito River Valley are the setting for one of the area's most beautiful communities, the new village of Santaluz. The centerpiece of this 3,800-acre development is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Rees Jones.
The private, equity golf course opened for play more than a year ago, and a fully appointed, members-only clubhouse is under construction and scheduled to be completed in February 2004. The Santaluz Golf Clubhouse will be housed in two buildings totaling nearly 40,000 square feet. One of the two-story buildings will feature a grill and bar, dining areas, and kitchen facilities and will have a 6,142-square-foot underground cart barn. The other building will have men's and women's spa areas and massage therapy rooms.
University is providing HVAC services for this facility, where luxury and comfort will be the name of the game. In the floor surrounding the women's spa, for example, our crews are installing a radiant-heat system designed to warm the feet.
Our other work includes installation of 10 packaged gas/electric rooftop units; one 11,300 cfm make-up air unit and one 3,250 cfm make-up air unit that will feed the kitchen areas; and 15 exhaust fans serving various different areas.
