The acceleration of change in the global semiconductor industry has been described as swift and relentless. But so are Microchip Technology and University Mechanical and Engineering Contractors.
Microchip is staying right on top of industry changes. The company, which owns and operates a wafer fabrication and wafer test facility known as Fab 2 in Tempe, is expanding the facility's capacity, and it has teamed with University to deliver the fast turnaround and consistent high quality that gives Microchip a leading edge in delivering innovative semiconductor products to the embedded control marketplace worldwide.
University crews are maintaining an aggressive schedule while working inside a fully operational fab facility. We are installing high-purity piping, process piping, and process exhaust to serve Microchip's Class 10 fabrication modules where 8-inch wafers are produced, sorted, and tested.
